Karen Wilmot - Muscat, Oman
Karen Wilmot is a midwife who was drawn to her profession through a passion for the miracle of birth. Over the years, she became disillusioned with the fear-based hospital system which relies on technology, interventions and policies to dictate how a baby should be born.
Alarmed at the ever increasing c/section rate she left midwifery for a while to further her studies in the mind body connection and the philosophy of yoga. From there her practice moved towards promoting holistic health and well being.
Karen now lives in Muscat, Oman where she runs a practice offering childbirth education, yoga, breastfeeding support and various mom and baby workshops.
